Sunrises and Sunsets

When the sun rises,
We have something to look for,
Awe, glamorous hues and
A day ahead of us,
Birds chirping, troops marching, people singing.
Oh, glorious sunrise.

When the sun sets,
I watch with awe
But fear and loathing as well
Night ahead of us,
Nasty dreams, the dead roaming at night.
Go inside, lock your doors.
The sirens send their signal.
Oh, dreadful sunset.
