Total Recall

Red dawn came across my gaze
I woke up from my dazed dream
And knelt down
A shadow flew down my path
Awakening a story within my story
The words coming to life
Bringing pain and fruit to the many
And in my mind’s eye
The blue lake emerged again
So I could reflect
On the knowledge of current events
Placing it once again into my worldview
For the future
To toss up into the stars
For a light fist to lean upon
And for the wake of the dead
Upon this new dimension
To eat upon
For me it was total recall
For them it meant more hopefully
So they could desire freedom
For the slaves
Within their system
So they could consecrate themselves
To the oracle
And bless time itself
Rather than noting the dreary
Ingesting something evil
To spit out all over
The purple dawn raised over the waters
Liberty wailed
The song carried
We would see what the recollection would do
For the many were ready
To be reformed
Without the mold
The idea would not lapse this time
It rose in the earth’s heart
The people were captivated
Yet thinking
Hearing
The eyes saw
The scent was real
And my hands felt like working.
