The Dark Force

I’ve been climbing the tower of truth,
Sometimes I’m overwhelmed
With grief
With exuberance
With confusion and then clarity,
I cling to the climb
And I develop my faith.

I defend the faith to others
To get them to stop grumbling
And committing sin.
Sin is as real as we are matter
We don’t fall away easy
And neither does awesomeness
Obtained by righteousness.

My once personable
Imaginary friend of youth
I declared as God
Was now an archetype
Known by religion
But by matter-of-fact
Something greater.

I heard with my ears
Saw with my eyes
Felt with my hands
There was something I knew
Outside the usual sense
It does not translate well, but...
The dark force is not black, it's hidden.
