Shana
Shana had a bit of Midnight
And Mountain
And Jacqueline Kennedy in her
She slept when her mom slept
So they could be friends
And keep each other safe
Under the moon sky
With their company
Companionship
And welcome their boredom together
In the wee hours of the morning
A toast to the both of them
With weeping tears for their past friends
Babies, lovers, cuddle times
Spouses, girlfriends, boys
Past and past times
And wounds and scars
A poem Mrs. Kennedy liked
They would both like
And sweep the good words under
The covers
Until a bright morning came about
So they could read those
Words out loud together
When the bells chimed
Or the church bells rang
In the distance
Over eggs and Shana’s favorite
As human food --
Bacon
Ice cream too
A lover of Shane
Mom’s best friend
And a new toast to the two of them
Shane and Shana
For a protective life
Of no avail
But of normal times
Friendship for both along the lines
Of star dim
And star bright
The everescent blue lake
Upon beads of sunshine lined up
On the grass
For a rainbow to reach
Midnight
And the lover of the call
All of them best buddies
And fragile life
Pertaining to them all
Suppressed no more
For happiness
Of mom, best friend
And new dad, ol’ dad
And new life
And something cooking on the horizon
Of a new life of peace
For the new arrangement would bring it about
Not withstanding
Anymore
Here say and here say
Her mom said to Midnight
Stay in your new home
And be safe
And comfortable
And thank you for being my war hero
Take care
And love your self for me
Forever more
This human Shana
I can care for with a twiddle of my thumb
And your new home for you the same
Blessings abide
In your new place
And mine too
Wisher me well
Wishes coming your way
And Shana is an easy care
With her human abode
I love you both
A star fell from the sky.
And Mountain
