Lady Liberty
The Statue of Liberty’s crown as the sun’s rays shining for her people
She cheers them on.
Don’t tread on me read the sign
The eagles soared overhead as a sign of passage for Lady Liberty.
Remember the day the music died
It was the year I was born, in Her mature years we listen to Her poetry.
The Lady can be silent or she can speak
Our lips move with Hers, a sign of freedom coming during a period of freewill restraint.
The burnt end of my smudge stick kept my eyes blackened
For a new dawn was about to enter after the dusk and moonshine.
Clear the way, roll out the red carpet
For Her crown begets flowers of soft tear shapes and we cried with Her.
Life flows out of Her hands and She gives life
The act of being alive is a response to the Liberty’s calling for passion.
She has no followers, only friends and enemies
There is however a tirade following Her emotion.
Lady’s beauty is in her face, Her sight and Her hazel eyes
Metallic makeup, kissed lips.
Mother Earth graces goddess Liberty with chances
They assume the risk together, the earth is built strong.
Tired hands raise up and the skies look breathtaking
We enter into communion with God and gods.
She cheers them on.
