joy is too difficult for me

Beautiful stones,
Tumbled by the stone man.
VS.
A warm brownie,
Drizzled with dark chocolate.

I choose the brownie,
Every time,
Because I do instant fixes,
Instead of joy.

But what about joy?
Choose the stones next time.

The stones are rare,
And beautifully marked,
Made of flat spots,
Cool to the touch.

If I get the gusto to do it,
I silence the air,
Except the katydids,
The placement begins.

Holding the flat points,
To relieve pain,
Or muster thoughts of peace,
Or direct energy.

In my cozy clothes,
With a comfortable position,
And a nice view.
BUT...It’s driving me nuts!

I’m eating the brownie,
Joy is too difficult
For me.
I need a fix.
