God Lives in This Town

I had a vision of my town
Because what happens in public
Is all nice and good
And I wondered, “Is this for real?"

Because behind closed doors
I saw
Where she did her
And he did him
And they did everybody
Living for thrills
Until their vaginas and dicks
Got lifelong bumps
And one -
The virus of all viruses
Spreading it to everyone
The player too
And Ms. I got “business”
They played this game
Behind closed doors.

I saw these people drive by
And I heard someone say
That God lives in this town
And I wondered, "How could that be?”
I had a vision of my town
Because what happens in public
Is all nice and good
And I wondered, “Is this for real?"

For behind closed doors I saw
Where she slapped her kids
And he raped them
Another gave them up
To avoid paying bills
They lied, they cheated, they stole
She had too much drama to work
He was depressed
From eating Doritos
And watching TV
And swallowing pills
And lighting a pipe
They lived this game
Behind closed doors.

And the lady who snubbed me
At the dollar store
Poured coffee on someone

Last week
And was just out of jail
Two days later
And in the rich part of town
With all the nice lawns
Was someone that took
And gave to no one
Inherited money
From a rich estate
And Nazi blood
His name was all over town
He lived for himself.

So God lives in this town
And we got something coming one day
For many are wicked
And many stand by
And toast their Starbucks
By and by.
