Evening

Most toasts
To something better
Arrive under the veil of darkness
Because we drink
Our liquor and champagne
At night.

Those to-die-for
Red or black dresses
And dolled up tresses
Do too.

My favorite evening
Includes dancing music filling the club
Or my living room
Livening the tombs of our life.

My prayers
All our prayers
Fill the black skyline
Every time the moon shines.

Like a tsunami
It washes out the day
Turned over to excite the neurons
Of our minds.

Not in the deep abyss.
