Dragon Heart
Let's go back
To the age of the dragon.
When men roared like lions
Instead of deer.
And women wore roses in
Their hair and
Dresses & tresses too instead
Of hot pencil thin neon skirts.
Her braids adorned thee
So did the morality captured
In her glances
He tipped his hat towards her.
They beat those drums of magic
The thunder roared across
The castle backdrop
Bladed knives not guns
Ornamental stitching
By both slave & free.
On my breath was the
Dragon heart
From the age of old.
Storm clouds encircled
The throne of a righteous king
At just the time thy dragon, my dragon
Soared for peace.
To the age of the dragon.
When men roared like lions
Instead of deer.
And women wore roses in
Their hair and
Dresses & tresses too instead
Of hot pencil thin neon skirts.
Her braids adorned thee
So did the morality captured
In her glances
He tipped his hat towards her.
They beat those drums of magic
The thunder roared across
The castle backdrop
Bladed knives not guns
Ornamental stitching
By both slave & free.
On my breath was the
Dragon heart
From the age of old.
Storm clouds encircled
The throne of a righteous king
At just the time thy dragon, my dragon
Soared for peace.
