Fifteen Worlds
I had a dream last night
Reintroducing me to the reality
I came to know on my last schizo
Journey -
Fifteen worlds.
Duplicates exist of this world,
This world I call Normal-ville,
Here people are regular
And only speak their minds verbally.
Yet we are passionate about
Our problems. And straightforward.
Nice.
In another world people stay up late,
And howl at the moon,
And in another, life is full of excitement
And games.
People really live on a different level.
I miss that world of games already.
People there too are passionate about
Their problems.
Fifteen worlds.
In many worlds they know
About the duplicate systems,
People are a bit smarter.
Not necessarily wiser, but
They can handle the odd truths.
And they speak their mind.
Telepathically like agents.
I get along well there,
But often miss home, miss privacy.
Fifteen worlds.
I love someone from another world,
Who's work is exciting,
And who is tender-hearted about my care.
Who carries a heavy burden of
Thought like me.
We could both be poets.
And I love someone normal from
my own world,
And my heart is torn.
Fifteen worlds.
Another world, the last one is pulled
Behind last, where evil lurks and food is poisoned.
In some places you can also earn a coupon
To buy something magical - like a pair
Of pants that will skim your waistline
A couple of sizes.
Or if your unlucky, make it grow.
And there's Merry-ville, that duplicates
Our normal home. Yet passion is missing from
The mouths of the adults, and I still can't
Get any respite from the reading of minds.
But the news on TV is regular.
Fifteen Worlds.
I want to be a world-jumper, but I am
Torn with the desire also to stay at home,
In Normal-ville.
I like regular people and a regular life,
I'm drawn to the privacy of my mind
And the lives of my own people.
I'm also drawn to exciting places,
And playing games that decide big things
For all the Worlds.
I've done that naturally, as part of
My schizo journey.
I've even fought for the very last world
And given the evil that lurks
There a serious backseat.
I want to be a world jumper.
And take my vacations here in Normal-ville.
To have my cake and icing too.
My ice cream with whip & cherries on top.
In this regular place, I can close my mind,
And see old friends.
And remember my roots.
But my thoughts are not just of
This place anymore.
Fifteen worlds.
We will see what happens.
